Walked 17 miles today. My face suggests I didn’t Walked 17 miles today. My face suggests I didn’t enjoy it... but I did!! There were definitely points when my gloves were soaked through, my knee hurt and I’d run out of snacks when I was starting to regret my decision... but then I focused on nature and the beauty around us rather than my aches and pains and instantly started smiling again.

Loving my daily walks and my longer weekend walks too. I feel shattered now, but a bath and some well deserved chips is going to perk me right up! 🙌 Are you a walker, a runner... or a sitter?
I love that we look like a right pair of plonkers I love that we look like a right pair of plonkers in this photo. 🥰 Nature doesn’t judge, just get out there, whatever the weather, whatever the outfit!

❓Did you know❓ There’s a bacterium in soil that is said to mirror the effects on our brains that you get from drugs like Prozac. Playing in the soil can stimulate serotonin production that makes us feel relaxed and happy. Go stomp in those muddy puddles, run your hands through the dirt and get up close and personal with soil! 🌱

No wonder dogs are so happy all the time. 🐶🥾
I did it. I walked every day in January and someho I did it. I walked every day in January and somehow clocked up over 100 miles!

Ensuring I get outside every day for a proper stomp has done wonders for my mental health. If I feel myself starting to get a ‘bit meh’ and let’s be honest that happens a lot right now. I move away from the desk, lace up my walking boots and get outside for a good ol’ stomp!

I’ve written a post about the importance of getting outside for our mental health and how it’s helped me. Link in bio!

This year... well you all know what I’m doing, it’s the same as you. Sat on my sofa at home, with a glass of wine in my hand, watching Netflix or *insert other streaming service*

Am I right? Or am I right? 🤣

Have you set any goals for this year? Or are you taking it one step at a time?

Link in my bio, photo from when it snowed New Year’s Eve 🥰
A frosty morning walk with @peakdistrictcookie! I’m attempting to go for a walk every single day in 2021. Which may sound kind of simple for many, but some days last year I didn’t even leave the house and I know that every time I get out in the fresh air and walk I instantly feel better.

Even if it’s just a quick walk round the block I want to get out and get moving. I live in such a beautiful part of the world and want to make the most of that and being out in #NaturesHealthService 🥰🌱
