A Sprinkling of Festive Magic at Center Parcs #Ad

Halloween has been and gone which means one thing – the festive season is here! Christmas time in the UK is one of my favourite times of the year. Chilly walks followed by a cosy pint in a warm pub, snuggling up by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate; Christmas markets with a glass of mulled wine – the list is endless!

I remember visiting Center Parcs as a child and loved it! So when Center Parcs got in touch about doing a post together I jumped at the chance. I am desperate to return to this special place. I went as a kid and now it is about time I enjoyed all things on offer for adults too!

One of the best things to do over the winter season is go on a stay-cation and enjoy all of the beauty the UK has to offer over the winter. One of the best places to go for an easy, relaxing and fun weekend break is Center Parcs. With different villages found around the country, you never have to travel too far – just hop in the car for a few hours and you’re there.

Center Parcs is famously a wonderful hideaway for families and younger kids, it’s also a fantastic place to visit with friends for a fun weekend away; or with your partner for a romantic weekend break.

Privately nestled within several different forests, the villages are the perfect escape from the city and provide an opportunity to breathe in the fresh country air and enjoy the peace and quiet.

You can visit Center Parcs for:

A romantic winter break

Center Parcs is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway with your partner. You can stroll hand-in-hand through the gorgeous, wintry forest for a few hours before retreating to your lodge to warm up by a cosy fire. There is a wide range of accommodation to choose from depending on your budget. The Exclusive lodges are absolutely stunning and come with their own private sauna, steam room and hot tub. However, even the non-fussiest of the Woodland Lodges are cosy and stylish with spacious open-plan living, comfy sofas, log-burning fireplace and private patio. There’s also a fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances if you prefer to stay in and cook with a glass of wine instead of visiting one of the restaurants

A wondrous winter recommendation is to stay in one of the many lodges with a private hot tub. Hot tub holidays are beyond relaxing, allowing you to unwind in the privacy of your own outdoor bubbling whirlpool. Soak in the tub with a glass in hand during the day, during which you have a stunning view of the surrounding forest, or the evening – when you get to admire the sparkling night skies.

The on-site spa, Aqua Sana, is another great feature that makes for a special break with a partner. Try one of the amazing dual treatments or book an entire spa day.

Everything Winter Wonderland

Christmas time at Center Parcs is truly magical. The villages transform into a festive playground – the perfect destination for a Winter Wonderland break. Think: plenty of snow, sparkly lights, festive decorations and fireworks displays.

Harness your inner child and get excited for the big day with all of the fun seasonal activities that are on offer, from gingerbread baking, to seasonal pottery painting and a carriage ride through the wintery forest. You can get creative and make some goodies for Christmas in a fun environment.

If you’re there with a little one (or you’re still a Santa believer yourself), you can visit Santa’s Woodland Village to see Santa and his elves at his Woodland Workshop.

A fun New Year’s break

If you’re looking for a different scene to welcome in 2020, Center Parcs couldn’t be a better environment for New Year breaks. Even after Christmas ends, the villages remain as magical as ever with their twinkling lights and decorations.

Enjoy a laid back few days in the lead up to the 31st and explore the forests, relax in your private lodge or enjoy a good-old spa day or two in preparation for everything the new year has in store for you.

On the actual night you can enjoy dinner at one of the excellent restaurants before attending one of the many parties being hosted, watching the fireworks go off above the moonlit treeline and celebrating with loved ones until the wee hours.

Who wants a visit to Center Parcs this Christmas? Meee!

  1. Center Parcs is the best place! I first visited the Cumbria resort when I was 10-years-old. Now I’m 20-years-old and still love going.
I’ve never been at Christmas though – you make it look magical.
