Takeaways and Food Shops Delivering in Matlock during Coronavirus

The list below shows which restaurants, takeaways and food shops are delivering in Matlock during the Coronavirus. It may not be relevant to a lot of my readers, but to local folk I hope it’s helpful. I will try to keep it updated, but let me know if there are any changes or additions needed!

I don’t know about you but I am missing going to cafes, restaurants and even regular food shops right now. It’s certainly made me more creative in the kitchen, seeing what interesting meals I can make with what’s left before we head out to the shops again.

Hopefully this list will offer some respite from cooking for a night or be useful advice on where you can get fresh fruit and vegetables and other essentials delivered to your home (or nearby). I haven’t included the supermarkets, as everyone knows about those, right?

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Delivery in Matlock

Jacksons Fresh Fruit and Veg

Jacksons have loads of fresh fruit and vegetables, alongside a few essentials like eggs, herbs, sugar and more. They have even started selling some compost and potted plants to help you work on your garden.

You can order on the phone or in person and they will deliver to most places locally. They deliver every day except Sunday.

John Palins Local

John Palin’s are doing a click and collect service from a range of spots nearby, including the Derbyshire County Council Carpark. They also do free home delivery for orders over £25. They do fruit, salad or veg boxes, including a range of other essentials like bread, pasta, milk and more.

Chatsworth Farm Shop

Chatsworth Farm Shop are doing pick up or delivery of orders to Matlock and various areas nearby. You need to fill in their order spreadsheet and email it back to them. You can also call up to order.

Go Local

Go Local at Matlock Green is currently open Monday- Thursday 7am-7pm, Friday,Saturday 7am-8pm, Sunday 8am-6pm
They free home delivery same day or next day on orders over £20. Please call 0162955672 for orders.

Butchers Open in Matlock

Hambridges Butchers

Hambridges in Matlock seems to be open as usual. I can’t find details but have been informed they have been open most days.

Derwent Valley Butchers

Derwent Valley Butchers on Smedley Street are still open for fresh meats, eggs, oatcakes and more. Not sure if they are the same but their usual opening hours are on their website.

E W Coates

E W Coates Butchers are open and doing deliveries. They have the usual meat as well as eggs, yoghurts, cheese and fruit and veg. They are delivering too.

Robin Maycock Butchers

Robin Maycock Butchers in Holloway is open and delivering. They are asking people to call ahead where possible

Owen Taylor

Owen Taylor Butchers are offering a click and collect service. They have collection points from a range of places in and around Matlock. You can see a full list on their website.

Pubs & Cafes Open in Matlock

The Thorn Tree Inn

The Thorn Tree Inn are still doing pie night for takeaway on Wednesdays. You bring your own plate, book in your time slot and go pick up your pie. Details on their Facebook page.

Tinkers Sandwich Bar

Tinkers Sandwich bar is currently open Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm. They are selling a range of sandwiches and salads, alongside a few essentials like eggs and milk. Call 07909 153665

The Remarkable Hare

The Remarkable Hare on Dale Road are offering a limited menu to pick up from Wednesday to Sunday, including whole roast chickens , burgers and nachos! Yum! Check out their Facebook page and their new menu here.

Annie’s Kitchen

Annie’s Kitchen on Dale Road has opened for a selection of sweet and savoury bakes and fresh coffee. Social distancing in place.

Butterfingers

Butterfingers are open for take out Thursday to Saturday 10am to 3pm. Details are on their Instagram.

Indian Takeaways Open in Matlock

Maazi

Maazi in Matlock are still open as usual for takeaway & deliveries.

Shalimar

The Shalimar in Darley Dale are still doing deliveries to their usual places.

Moja

Moja is still open for deliveries too and was recently offering free deliveries within the Matlock area.

The Balti

The Balti in Matlock Bath is still doing takeaway and deliveries.

Pizza and Kebabs Open in Matlock

Bellinni Pizzeria

Bellinni Pizzeria is still offering takeaway and delivery.

Pizza Connection

Pizza Connection are open every day for delivery every day until 10pm.

Pizza Point

Pizza Point are open as usual for pick up or delivery.

Star Pizza

Star Pizza on Dale Road are open for pick up and delivery.

Viva Italian Restaurant

Viva in Matlock now have a takeaway and delivery menu on their website to order from.

Fish and Chips Open in Matlock

Wellington Street Traditional Fish and Chips

Wellington Street Fish Bar is open Wednesday to Saturday in the evenings and Friday lunch too. They say to ring your order to 07905436069

Matlock Green Fish Bar

Matlock Green Fish Bar is reopening from the 1st May. They will be open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday. They recommend pre ordering by phone but that isn’t necessary. They will be running a one in one out policy.

Darley Dale Fish Bar

Darley Dale Fish Bar is open for click and collect online or phone orders. Opening times are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4pm to 8pm and Friday, Saturday 4pm to 9pm.

The French Wine People are open and delivering cases of wine… and gin! Yay!

Matlock Wolds Farm Brewery

Matlock Wolds Brewery are delivering a range of their beers up to 10 miles from Matlock. Includes 5 and 3 litre bags and cases of their bottled beer.

Bentley Brook Brewery
